I wish they hadn't clipped the end of this. I watched this when it was first on, and when Sammy kissed Archie right at the end I almost lost a lung laughing. The audience went wild for a full minute while Archie stood there with a stunned look on his face, then he said weakly, "Well ... he said it was in his contract ..."
The episode ends with Sammy mailing a copy of the photo, "To Archie Bunker, the whitest guy I know." Archie took it as a compliment.
